We welcome volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels.

We are also happy to work with high schools and universities to provide internship credit, community service hours, or supervised project-based learning for motivated students.

ADMINISTRATIVE & LOGISTICAL SUPPORT

(Perfect for detail-oriented organizers)

  • managing donor spreadsheets
  • tracking donations

  • organizing contact lists
  • updating small parts of the website
  • helping manage the email list
  • creating event registration or RSVP forms
  • light administrative support for fundraising campaigns

EVENT SUPPORT

(For people who love hands-on community work)

  • creating welcoming spaces (candles, seating, lighting, ambiance)
  • running check-in tables
  • greeting guests and guiding them to their seats
  • managing crowd flow
  • coordinating volunteers during live events
  • supporting tech or backstage assistance (lights, sound, cues)
  • helping with immersive or ceremonial installations

Role examples:
Event Assistant, Front-of-House Volunteer, Event Tech Support

FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGEMENT

(This is a leadership role for someone who loves coordinating people)

  • organizing all event volunteers
  • building volunteer schedules
  • managing check-in, seating, and guest experience
  • training ushers and hospitality volunteers
  • coordinating with the stage manager and ticket manager
  • ensuring smooth guest arrival and overall event flow

Role examples:
Front-of-House Manager, House Manager, Volunteer Coordinator

PRODUCTION & EVENT COORDINATION

(For larger theatrical or community events)

  • supporting special events like Untold Stories of Gaza
  • coordinating with performers, speakers, and artists
  • helping build run-of-show timelines
  • backstage communication during events
  • assisting with rehearsal logistics
  • supporting setup/strike before and after shows

Role examples:
Event Producer (special events), Production Assistant, Stage Support

CREATIVE PROJECTS & DESIGN

(Great for creatives, students, and artists)

  • designing posters, flyers, and marketing graphics
  • creating Canva templates
  • helping format brochures or newsletters
  • light photo editing
  • assisting with storybook layout and prep for printing
  • creating social media graphics
  • helping prepare digital storytelling or video content

Role examples:
Graphic Designer (volunteer), Creative Assistant, Digital Content Volunteer

FUNDRAISING SUPPORT

(For people who enjoy research or community outreach)

  • researching grants (not writing the proposals)
  • reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships
  • gathering silent auction items
  • managing online auction listings
  • helping brainstorm fundraising ideas
  • supporting ticketing and donation links for events
  • helping set up seasonal fundraising pages

COMMUNICATIONS & OUTREACH

(Perfect for storytellers and social media-savvy volunteers)

  • managing social media posts
  • creating reels or short-form videos (Instagram preferred)
  • writing or scheduling updates for donors

  • helping build storytelling content
  • designing simple infographics
  • helping Michele respond to messages/comment moderation
